Supreme Balustrades worked closely with the Dorchester Apartments Body Corporate to advise, plan and organise the remediation of the balustrading of this apartment block on Oriental Parade in Wellington. The project was completed in stages and the installation work was done by our team working at height in harnesses for fall protection. This method avoided the requirement and cost of scaffolding for the owners. The old non-compliant balustrading was removed and replaced with “Siena”, semi-frameless glazed balustrade, top fixed to the existing concrete decks. Dulux powder coat colour “Silver Pearl” was used on all levels and works well with the stunning harbour outlook the Dorchester Apartments enjoy. Colour is always an individual choice, however lighter colours like greys and whites work well with city and sea views, and darker tones are often used where there are backgrounds of native bush or foliage. As two of the owners said, “We are really thrilled with our balustrades and the quality of service from you all.
