Project Details:

This new development of six apartments designed by Archaus and built by Crafted Projects Limited, adds density along Wellington’s Newtown to City cycleway, and is situated on a corner site with Wellington Hospital to the South.  The Hampton aluminium framed balustrade was chosen for its vertical fin appearance and its ability to be fabricated to curve around an end of each of the four decks.  This design adds to the building’s presence as the deck balustrade matches the building’s curved western corner. Hampton was also used for the safety screens, or Juliet balustrades as they are often called, which are face fixed to the building exterior in front of sliding doors. Hampton is a new sleek and versatile fin style balustrade from UNEX that offers fin styling at an economical price. It features 50x16mm fins between vertical square posts, a rectangular top rail and a flat bar at the bottom, making it ideal for stairs, decks, or privacy screens. Crafted with quality and durability in mind, Hampton adds a touch of elegance to any space as can clearly be seen on this project. Ascot framed balustrade has a similar vertical appearance and was the balustrade of choice for the interior stairways.
